Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami have teamed up once again, this time celebrating the beauty of Japan’s cherry blossom season with their second collaborative drop. Following the Y2K-inspired January release, the March collection features over 40 pieces adorned with the delicate “Sakura” motif, paying homage to the fleeting magic of spring.
The campaign, led by global icon Zendaya, showcases reimagined Louis Vuitton classics like the “Capucines Mini” and the “OnTheGo” tote, now crafted in the brand’s signature Monogram canvas. The collection also includes platform sandals, “Papillon” bags, and other accessories, blending Murakami’s vibrant artistry with Louis Vuitton’s timeless elegance.
To mark the launch, Louis Vuitton released a campaign video featuring Murakami sending a note from Japan to Zendaya in New York, symbolizing the global connection of the collaboration. The rollout began with immersive pop-up experiences, offering interactive cafés, cinemas, and vending machines filled with playful prizes like stickers, Tamagotchis, and trading cards.
The second drop will be available for pre-order on Louis Vuitton’s website starting March 14, with a worldwide store release on March 21. Don’t miss this poetic tribute to spring, where art and fashion collide in perfect harmony.
